Inflammation, Cancer, and Intestinal Mucosal Immunology (ICIMI)
ABOUT THE COURSE
This 5-day course will discuss different aspects of intestinal mucosal immunology in the context of intestinal chronic inflammatory disorders. The course will include sessions on IBD, food allergies, colorectal cancer, the role of diet and microbiome, neuroimmunogastroenterology, therapeutic immunointerventions, and translational immunology. It will be an interactive course with talks, discussions, poster presentations, and training in grant writing.

15 International and Chilean renowned scientists will be teaching this course (G Nuñez, E Villablanca, K McCoy, K Lahl, C Gray, R Kemp, KN Faber, M Hermoso, G Monasterio, among others)
ELIGIBILTY
- The course is open to 50 MSc and PhD students and post doctoral fellows from Latin America
- Applicants should have research experience and submit an abstract of a poster to be presented during the course
- Selection will be based on abstract motivation and academic and scientific excellence
- Applicants should have a passport valid for 6 months after the dates of the course
- Selected students will receive partial or full funding of accommodation, meals and travel
- All accepted students will have to pay $50 US for registration
- Selected students will be notified by June 25
Selected participants must complete an online pre course on the Immunopaedia website starting the week of September 4
