Pre-meeting on Abstract Writing and Oral Communication Skills
November 4 2024, 8:15am – 12:00pm
- This short pre-ALACI meeting workshop is designed to provide skills in interpretation and communication of scientific data.
- The exercise will last for 3.5 hours and be divided into two sessions.
- In the first session, participants will be divided into groups of ~6 and each group will receive a different scientific paper.
- Each paper will have the title, abstract, authors, affiliations and all identifiers, and references redacted.
- The objective is to: a) give the paper a title; b) write the abstract in 350 words and c) construct a graphical abstract.
- The second session will be to present the graphical abstract to all the groups.
- Each group will be assigned a mentor to help guide the process and motivate.
